Comments CommentsDespite the gloomy weather forecast, the afternoon was dry and the snow amazing. Nice customer service today (giving out lanyards to MAX Passholders; handing out candy to skiers at the end of the day).

Virtually everything was open, except A Slope Cutoff. Outpost was good, with the exception of the steeps atop Sidewinder and (did not ski but saw) atop the lift line. Pretty good cover otherwise, all natural.

Little Pico upper A Slope didn't look good, but B Slope, C Slope, Home Run, and Exhibition were all good.

Off the summit, Summit Glade was generally good (a little mogully for my taste), 49er choppy from heavy use, Lower Sunset 71 good, and KA was nicely groomed. Upper Pike was left as wall to wall moguls. Did not venture west of there, the double diamond looked pretty rough.

Lower mountain was in the clear all afternoon, with the summit in the fog. Never a line or a wet chair. The rain stayed just south and east of the mountain, literally.
