Moguls | Ripcord was closed as it looks like an icefall. There was short seeded run at the left bottom of Exhibition. The ones normally at the bottom of Ego Alley were thankfully groomed flat because that short section was hard frozen granular. But up over on Beartrap were some soft bumps so we did that 3 times. |
Terrain Park(s) | I skied through but I don't hit features. Looked fine to me. All the parks were in play. The queue was jammed but there didn't seem to be that many park rats on the hill. Probably a comp going on somewhere or they were out to lunch. |
Run of the Day | Upper Ego Valley |
Food and Beverage | The base restaurants were jamming inside and outside.
I got the clam chowder from the market and it was all broth. A ripoff for $7.50 |

Comments | 1/27/2018 sunny, warm near 45, 52 of 86 trails, all 20 lifts, machined groomed. Some WRODs. It was pretty crowded as expected. 25 min wait for the Blue Bird at 3pm for our one and only ride there. I finally took a ride on the Ego Alley chair. And managed to snag a golden chair...also the first time. I think the base outside bars were more crowded than the slopes. It was the day to take out of the way chairs with the Carinthia, Grand Summit and Bluebird queues filled. New lodge slowly taking shape |
