Comments | This was a NH AMC Ski Group skinning/ski trip that was originally planned for Cannon but moved to Loon because Cannon has not started allowing uphill traffic for the year; Cannon also still has very limited terrain regardless. Once on the hill, some of use went up twice. Uphill pass ($20) was well worth it because conditions were so good - some fresh packed powder and nice soft edgeable snow. I'm told it wasn't as crowded as it can get. People were very friendly to us and asked us a few questions about how the skins worked/etc. We had to be a little careful sticking to the side of the trail to avoid downhill traffic but most skiers/riders were in control. Nice to have facilities at the top (uphill route only goes to upper Gondola station). Fun day! |
