Comments | The new triple chairlift changes the way Pats Peak skis at night. The loading carpet allows the lift to run at roughly the same speed as the Vortex, but it's a more comfortable seat. Skiing off it instead of the Vortex or Hurricane makes the mountain feel a lot bigger.
Decent conditions on FIS Race Trail, Tornado, and Duster. Lots of snow being cranked out on Upper Vortex, which will be skiable as soon as the rope drops. Snow also cranking out on Hurricane, which does not yet have bumps, and was nice manmade powder skiing.
Other than that upper Vortex area, everything I could see was wall to wall, 100% open. Great to see the continued snowmaking improvements. |
