Comments CommentsSignificant melt since last week, but still some decent late season skiing today.

Polecat has some chokepoints, including the first tree island, the downhill just before the top of the Tomcat Triple, and the section just above the bottom of Tomcat. Other portions of Polecat were still wall to wall and in good shape. Some grass starting to show on Lower Polecat.

Tomcat was still open, but was getting thin/narrow.

Upper Lynx is toast. Lynx Lair, a turn below it, and the downhill parallel to the lift are single file. Middle Lynx has a growing chokepoint at the turn near the old lift line (Hairball). Lower Lynx was beautiful with generally wall to wall coverage and nice consistency. Lower Catenary (e.g. the bottom headwall) was also still in good shape with a cat track on one side and bumps on the other.

Upper Catapult was still in good shape and wall to wall through the first turn. A few chokepoints developing where it runs along the old gondola line, and the turn below there.

Middle Catapult was ungroomed and mostly bumped with some growing bare spots.

Alley Cat as a few growing bare spots, but also some nice stretches as well. Lower Catapult has a few chokepoints developing, but also had some nice stretches.

Bobcat was still open with some wide spots, but also a few very narrow chokepoints.

Wild Kitten is still open, but generally one to two grooming passes wide. The two slopes off the beginner triple were still open.

The summit opened half an hour late due to icing on the chairlift, enough ice to coat the trees and give it a slight winter feel. Managed to get in 20K vertical before lunch, when the drizzle started. Never a lift line.

There's a chance they may make it to next weekend, but I think the odds are leaning toward tomorrow being closing day due to the growing barespots.
