Comments | Loon was pleasantly full like a nice weekday, little to no lift lines and the snow was fabulous. Packed powder mostly with only a few firmer granular patches--held up all day! Loon's staff is top notch. I witnessed a lift attendant do her job extremely well--she prevented an injury by stopping the lift and then she jumped in and released the heel binding on the ski saving the youngster from twisting her knee. It all happened so quickly. Saw a first on the gondola loaded just ahead of us, some how ski equipment got stuck and prevented the gondola's door not to shut and just before the gondola was to jump on the fast cable the lift shut down! Quick acting attendants fixed the problem and got everything going quickly using a long metal pole with a hook on the end. There is so much snow, seems a shame that now South Peak is closed for the season. |
