Terrain Park Terrain Park(s)didn't notice one??
Run of the Day Run of the DaySpeedwell Trail from the mid-station to the base was great fun!
Food and Beverage Food and BeverageGood burger and fries from cafeteria! We ate them on the bar deck along with a beer. Our timing was poor, there appeared to be one wait-staff but she was super busy thus our decision to go to the cafeteria. Burger was good with all the fixings. Bartender was busy preparing fancy drinks while us thirsty draft beer folks had to wait patiently. Was worth the wait.
Comments CommentsBlack mountain is a fun old school ski area. Grooming was excellent as were the overall snow conditions. Fantastic views all around. Black is home to the only ski lift that gives you a big view of Mount Washington as you ride the lift, seen as nearing the top of the summit double. Black's parking lot was less than half full on Sunday morning--the place never feels crowded. Check their snow report for future hours--just saw this posted on facebook--We will be closed Monday-Thursday this week to preserve the snow, and will reopen Friday 3/24 to Sunday 3/26. Then we will be closed again mid week, and will re-open APRIL 1st. So there ya go, Happy Spring.
