Comments | We were amazed how much more snow there was since last Monday. I'm told they made snow every day since then, in furtherance of their goal of staying open well into April. Surfaces were firm but there was little ice. With no lines and blue skies, the skiing was fabulous.
I spotted a pair of hikers on the Trail that crosses the summit, just a few yards from the Polar Express summit clearing. I didn't envy them on such a cold morning. The nearby memorial to the Tenth Mountain Division was decorated by a half-dozen small American Flags I didn't notice last week. |
