Comments CommentsUnfortunately (or fortunately!!!), the high speed lifts were all on wind hold. Probably a good thing as everything was so icy - probably better not to be on anything steep. I did 1 run on my snowboard and immediately switched to skis. There was suffering for snowboarders. The lower mountain wasn't really softening up much - too windy and cold, though, they were blowing snow all day on some trails. I was pretty happy in The Gulch trail - nice new snow under the snow guns until I hit a patch of ice on the left side and ended up ass-over-teakettle in a small shrub upside down off the side of the trail and down the embankment. It took a bit of effort to get my ski out of the tree when I was upside down - turns out my goggles smashed into my eye and did some (hopefully temporary) damage including black eye, cornea blood, and cornea scratch - I was a mess so I left to go to urgent care. I could see how Mt Snow could be a fun place with more snow!!!!
