Glades GladesNot too many were open, and for good reason - DIRT. I made the mistake of taking Idiot's Delight which started out great, with great coverage (it was open). Then, it dropped into large dirt areas and eventually a dirt/mogul glade, and, eventually to the old ski runs which looked bereft of snow, so, I tried to head skier's right to get back to the lift. Along the way, I was glad to see the old T-bar lift line is still extant - but I was too low to make dropping in worthwhile. From there, I walked to the edge of the Taft Training Slope but they were installing some skier fencing - how was I to get back to the lift??? Luckily, down the slope, they let me walk across the fencing as they were putting it up - perhaps they saw me slide down the ice and hit my head/tweak my back as I was looking for a gap in the upper fencing???? :( pass the vitamin I!!!!!!

Comments CommentsFelt like a private ski area this morning - and for good reason - WET WET WET!!!! Glad I had full gore-tex as it was NASTY. However, trails rode great! Snow was soft given the rain and high winds. I lasted 3 hours before everything, and I mean, EVERYTHING I was wearing was soaked through - always helpful to have the spare boots/etc in the car. One of my boots blew away when I was changing - hard to get it from under my car - GRRRR. Very foggy, as expected. Everyone nice and friendly!!!!!
