Comments | Today was a warm bluebird day of spring skiing at Lost Valley. It was our first time skiing there since the new Chair 3 opened, and it really is a game changer for the mountain! Logging Trail is a great intermediate cruiser, but the rest of the terrain on that side is legitimately steep and a lot of fun to ski. It's great to now have multiple real expert options, even when the glades are not open. It also helps spread out the crowds even more.
All trails were still open, even though cover was getting a bit thin on some. It was a bit foggy for the first hour of the day, but it soon cleared to a cloudless blue sky. It didn't really make a difference between groomed and ungroomed runs, everything quickly softened to spring conditions. There was a good crowd at the mountain, but there was rarely a wait of more than a few chairs, and Chair 3 never had any wait at all. It's sad to see the snow melting so fast so early, but it was a very fun day of spring skiing. |
