Glades GladesAll open with a decent packed powder/loose granular snow surface, however the steeper glades had a good amount of rocks, roots and stumps to avoid.
Moguls MogulsBumps on Triple Trouble and some parts of Picaroon skied very well with generally good cover despite a bit of pucker brush on the former. Moguls could also be found on Big Dipper under the East Basin Double and on the sides of some of the blacks on North and South Peaks.
Terrain Park Terrain Park(s)Five parks open according to the report. Looks like the halfpipe is not being built this year.

Comments CommentsPretty nice day at Loon yesterday, even if a bit crowded. The only closed trail was Undercut on South Peak (felled trees on the upper portion have yet to be cleared). Conditions were quite good with nice corduroy and packed powder in the morning, with some trails transitioning to fine loose granular later in the day. Boilerplate ice appeared in small patches on many of the trails although it wasn't too bad, apart from the upper headwall of Big Dipper. Some of my favorite trails from the day included Triple Trouble, Cruiser, Sunset, and Coolidge Street after the race training on it concluded.

All lifts were open except the Little Sister Double. The Kanc 8 and East Basin Double had waits of a few chairs at most, same for the gondola and the North Peak Express although I didn't ride those lifts during peak hours. The longest lines I waited in were at the Lincoln Express at midmorning, which were about 5-7 minutes or so.

Temperatures were in the 20s and very comfortable, there was a bit of sunshine in the morning, and it was snowing very lightly throughout much of the day. Not too much wind to speak of. Overall it was a fun day and great to be skiing again after being too busy for the past couple weeks.
