Comments CommentsYou cannot beat free (for weekends I believe - due to sponsorship)!!! Donations accepted in a ski boot when you sign in!!!! This was my second time here and it beat my first time a few years ago. This is EXACTLY what I LOVE about skiing/snowboarding.... the PERFECT place!!!! Groomed pack powder wall-to-wall. All natural snow felt amazing. VERY few people on the slopes. The people that I did see were really good skiers and had, generally, vintage gear. Nestled on the T-bar, looking up the tow line, seeing the people 1 or 2 T-bars ahead of me, I felt like I had gone on a time machine. It's like those old posters and pictures of skiing from a different era. The 2 people loading the T-bar could NOT be any more wonderful, helpful, and nice. They always wished me a good ride each time. The guy even offered to pull me up to the lift so I didn't have to take my rear foot out of my snowboard to get on the lift. The lady was super sweet and complimentary. There was a time I thought ski areas had totally lost their soul. And most of them have, but, this place hasn't.

NOTE, there are some super-fun trails off either side. I did most of the natural/ungroomed trails which were very fun, but, the pitch of chute just is hard to beat.
