Comments CommentsTerrific morning here - I only stayed a couple hours until the line and line management eventually drove me nuts. Mostly packed powder everywhere. I did a few natural trails and really enjoyed Gully as it wasn't super open the last time I was there. I ventured down Back Scratcher but that was a mistake - hard steep face with moguls - I was in over my head and just survival-rode it off to the right side after freaking out.... ugh.... ANYWHO, the line was non-existent the first 1.5 hours but after that the singles line thing wasn't working for them. You'd think VT would be warmly welcoming ALL outsiders but it was nearly impossible to get anyone to let me ride with them, including one woman with 2 small kids who said, "NO, I GOTTA BE NEXT TO THIS LITTLE GUY!" I'm like, WHAT? Then, she apologized and offered to let me ride on the other side of her and I'm like, "THANKS - THAT'S OK" She kept trying to apologize and get me on but I'm like, "THAT'S OK BUBYE!!!!!". Eventually I just decided to take up a whole chair even though a line was forming pretty big. In the future I will just plan to jump in line like a zipper and take a full chair for myself. I have to say I did breathe a sigh of relief when I got out of VT, land of the phonies.
