Comments CommentsFast and firm morning at Cannon. Some trails skied nicely, while others were riddled with boilerplate from the get-go.

Indy Pass redemption process was cumbersome and invasive. Despite having Entabeni RFID technology, the Indy RFID does not work, and Cannon nickels and dimes you into buying a $5 Entabeni RFID and requires you to take a photo and provide other personal information. It's easier to get insurance than it is to redeem an Indy day at ski areas using Entabeni systems.

Peabody, Cannonball, Zoomer, Tuckerbrook, and Mittersill were the operating lifts (Tram, Eagle Cliff, Brookside, and T-Bar closed).

Tramway, Ravine, and Taft groomed up top (I think I missed Cannon). Tramway was very good, Ravine was so-so, and Taft was boilerplate. Skylight and Profile closed (guns started in Skylight later in the morning). Heard Vista was rough in places. Watch out for the rocks approaching the lift from Ravine.

Bypass/Extension and Middle Ravine had a lot of boilerplate. Parkway was closed with whales draining.

On the Front Five (which are now 16, excluding glades), Zoomer was the best of the steeps. Jasper's and Banshee were awesome, but Zoomalanche and the entrance to Banshee Cut-Thru were littered with rocks. Paulie's was closed and Avalanche had random boilerplate.

In Tuckerbrook, Moose Alley has whales curing. Fleitman is closed with snowmaking on the lower part (entrance closer to the triple had very little snow).

One run, sort of splitting into two on Mittersill. Skyline was boilerplate, but Dragon's was better. Taft Super Slope was really good (entrance was rubbish, but really nice after) and guns were running on the lift side. Baron's closed above the crossover, as whales are curing.
