Comments CommentsNatural steeps are rock ski terrain, but the low angle naturals are generally quite good right now.

Little Pico - Only Bushwhacker open (with C Slope, Lower KA, and Exhibition (Peekaboo almost bare at the sharp turn) options). B Slope closed for racing (even when no one was around) and A Slope closed because the steeps don't have enough cover.

Knomes Knoll - All natural. Sundowner had a super thin spot near the top, but otherwise was okay. Triple Slope was quite good (watch out for the rocks at the access road crossing). Ace of Clubs a little thin up top, but the trail to Outpost was fine.

Outpost - Sidewinder and Pipeline looked too thin for our liking up top. Bronco was quite good with some thin spots between the powder bumps. Wrangler not so much.

Golden Express - skipped Panhandler and Expressway (open, but snowmaking in progress). Gold Rush and Fools Gold were good top to bottom.

Summit - Only 49er has seen snowmaking up top. The two pitches were scraped pretty quickly due to almost all traffic coming down that way. Skipped the upper naturals due to the visible rocks, but everything was generally nice below Easy Street (itself really thin) with only a few thin spots on Summit Glades. Guns hosed up on Mid KA.

All lifts were running and most had no lines. Amazing they can get everything running here, yet Sugarbush continues to have problems despite a comparatively newer fleet. In New England, Pico feels more like an "Indy" area than many Indy Pass areas, and certainly more so than any of the Ikon areas.
