Comments | This was the first day of the season at Okemo, and also the first day of the season for me. Given that this is one of the first Vail areas to open, there were real crowds, but (as usual) they thinned significantly after lunch. The amount of terrain open was generally extremely limited, but some trails opened during the day, and snow on the ground gave everything a midseason feel. Nor'easter and Upper Chief were interestingly enough natural cover with significant shrubs - I didn't expect that from Okemo and especially not on December 1st. |
