Comments | What a day, yippee finally a sunny warm spring day with awesome snow. They groomed one side of superstar and top of Skylark. It did get cold enough last night that things set up nicely and it didn't take long for the snow to turn into nice soft corn. Great Eastern was a riot because the upper/middle ribbons of snow required either jumping a narrow band of mud or a longer strip of grass otherwise it had great snow. Upper Ovation was grand but required walking out the cross over to get back to Superstar. Superstar skied great all day. Ski right on the lifts all day and by 11 there were lots of empty chairs--Light attendance today, we started just a few minutes after nine and made it until 12:30. We skied a lot, 13 runs and all the trails. Most people were there for the first two hours and then a lot disappeared. Wet spring snow really started to show up around 11 and lot of big piles of wet snow developed on groomed part of Superstar. Perfect day really nice. I think all the trails open will make it through the weekend but maybe some walking will be required or bring your rock skis. Gonna be fun to see how long Superstar will last!! Bria and I even put on sunscreen because we needed it! |
