Comments | Last day of the season at Sunday River; $0 tickets. Delayed opening due to heavy downpours (alleged thunder). Lots of folks left (many returned later), but the lift opened around 9:45 (instead of 8). Six top to bottom runs open via the Jordan 8 - Lallapalooza, Excalibur, Rogue Angel (ungroomed), Lost Princess (ungroomed), Cyclone, Northern Lights/Firestar. Lallapalooza and Excalibur had very good coverage and depth and could still be open after today. Rogue had a few areas with chokepoints. Lost Princess had three narrow areas (including the entrance), but was otherwise pretty good. Firestar had a thin area, but otherwise those runs were in decent shape. Pretty quiet to start, but lines started to build around lunchtime (only a few chairs deep). Occasional clusters of skiers, but otherwise trails weren't too busy. Generally pretty foggy, but some brief breaks of blue skies. |
