Comments | Windhold city. Misleading snow report this morning (showing incorrect opening times initially, as well as listing open trails that wouldn't have been accessible even if the wind holds hadn't happened, as well as implying the windholds would subside in the afternoon). In the end, only South Ridge Quad, Alera T-Bar, and Little White Cap operated. No idea why White Cap Quad and Merrill Hill Triple didn't spin (chairs did not appear to be swaying much at all in the gusts); would have made a big difference. Instead, the South Ridge Quad was consistently overflowing beyond the corrals, while the T-Bar line was stretching around the triple chair terminal. Open trails generally skied well on spring snow with only a few random bare spots. Seemed like the idle peaks also had decent cover on the snowmaking trails. |
