Comments | Three inches of new snow overnight on top of two feet of recent snowfall made for perfect conditions at Abram yesterday. There was still plenty of deep powder across the mountain and many areas were untracked. Most trails and glades were open except for some of the new ones which hadn't been destumped and graded yet. Both chairlifts were open and the legendary Maine T opened for a few hours mid-day. Temperatures were in the twenties and low thirties and it was partly cloudy and somewhat windy. Crowds never got that bad and lines were never more than a minute long. It's amazing how much new terrain they have opened up since the last time I was there. Much of that new terrain is glades which are not marked, even on the new map. Virtually the entire mountain from boundary to boundary is skiable now and by the time yesterday was over there was still plenty of untouched snow. |
