Comments CommentsNot terrible, but not great. Snow report seemed quite inaccurate.

Two trails open in the Sun Bowl - Lower Downeaster and Big Ben - probably the best snow on the mountain. Supertrail and Middlebrook were roped (despite having snow; the former is getting narrow).

Only Upper Middlebrook open off Shooting Star (why was it running); ungroomed with barespots, random bumps, and littered inexperienced skiers.

From Ursa (only lift lines I encountered, but only a minute or two), Black Bear, Polar Bear, and Tamarack. Frank's was closed for racing. Grizzly and Upper Standard closed. Felt like bumper cars by mid-morning, as the uphill capacity exceeded downhill capacity. Random ice bulges and brown snow. Can see why they're saying they're going to make snow again.

Snow Bowl had pretty much the same trails open as early December. Spruce had a lot of ice bulges. Drifter and Meadows open with some random narrow places. Upper Mike's was one cat wide at the beginning.

Did not venture onto the lower main mountain.

Sunny spring skiing in the lower Sun Bowl, but a bit chilly on the upper mountain with fog and a little bit of wind.
