Comments | We played with the wind, and followed the sun. We started off with a couple runs at High Country, which was firm and sugary. Made our way to White Caps, which was very good first thing, and then went over to the Tippy Canoe area and found it to be firm and bumpy. Old Tecumseh however was really nice! Our next adventure was the Oblivion/No Grit area and steeps. Ciao, Gema, Upper and Lower Bobby’s and True Grit were FANTASTIC. Nice sugar snow, and edgeable pack underneath. We looked at Green Peak from the top of Ciao and decided to save it for after lunch, which was wise since there was a very clear difference between trails connecting the complexes. Racing was held on World Cup most of the day, but cleared out just before 2:00. Once we got over to Green Peak we found Clean Shaven, Governor’s, Piano Man, and a groomed Wayne’s to be fantastic. Ungroomed terrain was open, but it was frozen and glossy....no thanks! We enjoyed our day, and never had to wait in line. |
