Comments | Another good day in the books. Sunday River now has 2 trails at Jordan Bowl, and will probably open up Excalibur tomorrow. Many trails across the mountain are lit up with guns. When driving on the access road to Jordan, you could easily see guns on throughout Jordan and Aurora. Northern Lights, Kansas and Excalibur, and if you were heading to South Ridge, you could easily see even more. Monday Mourning, Cascade, Sunday Punch and even Grand Rapids were getting a decent amount of man-made stuff. It really is coming along. Took lots of good laps on Rouge and Lolla. Rouge was a sheet of ice on the upper headwall section, but generally speaking the lower half was decently better than a couple days ago. I'm glad they took the time to groom it when they got the chance, despite it being a bit uneven in places. The lower section was also no longer a frozen river! Lolla also rode well too, but was filled with people most of the time. Lots of racers that had trained gates on Locke early in the day spent the rest of their time at Jordan Bowl after training. I guess there's only so much space on T2/Upper Punch for multiple schools to train on over there. Great day to be outside. Got up to 32 - 35 mid-day, with mostly sunny skies. | |
