Comments | I showed up just before 10:30 and made it until 2 pm. That's is a full day of spring skiing on the 7/155 trails that are open from the one lift, Superstar quad, that was running. Heard that there was a delay after opening because they were working on one of the lower lift tower's sheaves (the wheel thingies that guides the lift's cable). So I didn't miss more than the first half an hour or so. Mostly cloudy with just enough sun peeking out once in a while to tease me. Superstar skier's right was sort of groomed and left side some good size sharp moguls. Upper Skylarke to Bittersweet still good coverage but getting thin, should be good for the weekend. All good time. I rode the lift with a fellow that has skied Killington almost every day this season, only missing 11 days and 7 were because blocked out and he didn't ski in the rain last weekend, he said he has 150 something days in this year and is ranked third on their apt and yes number 1 ranked is someone currently on the way to skiing every single day. I also spied a couple of gold stickers on cars reading 100 days skied at Killington. I left when it started to rain, probably didn't last too long but my legs had had enough. Snow reminded me of the type of snow that they make fruit flavored snow cones out of... It is pretty heavy. Good fun. |
