Comments CommentsLast day of top-to-bottom operations.

Heaven's Gate Triple had Jester and Organgrinder open. Jester had a few thin/narrow areas, but otherwise had okay coverage (but was choppy because it didn't set up overnight). I didn't enjoy Organgrinder because the bumps were large/not well shaped, and there were lots of areas of random glacier ice.

Super Bravo served the lower mountain. Downspout had some choke points that worsened as the morning progressed with traffic. Lower Jester also had some very, very thin spots down low. Lower Organgrinder was okay where open. Murphy's Glade was narrow in a few places, but had okay bumps.

From the top of the Valley House Quad (not running/needed today), Reverse Traverse was still open on natural, but on its last legs. The new version has been cut below it. Stein's was not groomed and had some rough bumps on the right side, but was decent on the ridge. Plenty of depth at the moment, but Coffee Run may not last to May. Snowball is getting narrow in a few places, but Spring Fling was good. Lower Snowball is getting narrow/thin in a few places as is Racer's Edge (some large jumps could be pushed out).

Glad I only brought my rock skis today. Lots of brown snow and assorted rocks. Didn't find any run particularly worth repeating with the flat light and very soft snow. Nice to have top to bottom skiing though.

Partly sunny day did not emerge, and the upper mountain was in a cloud for a good portion of the morning. Never a lift line.
