Comments | Oh my.... disappointed. Mountain was basically a mound of frozen corduroy. If I could have walked down pines faster than side-slipping, I would have. After first run on left side, I went to Spear side hoping maybe something was soft enough to ride.... just not fun. I mean, when people are sharpening their edges with their own sharpeners at the base area, there's a problem. First lift ride I was on (2nd or 3d chair), had to clear a group wiped out in front of me at the top. I stayed until a bit after 10 and things were starting to soften but the areas still in shade were just ice. At that point the crowds were getting pretty big so I decided not worth the risk of injury. People super-friendly tho, so, it's still a nice crowd. But, next year going elsewhere - it's just too crowded at Ragged for it to be fun. |
