Comments | More time off this week. Always like to get out on the home mountain when the weather goes the right way! The weatherman on Facebook predicted almost a foot in our area, but it was only around 4 - 6 inches. Not upset or disappointed though; as there's more on the way tomorrow. Sunday River is 100% open, with lots to explore. Most trails past Spruce got the best of the snowfall we received. Airglow, Excalibur, Rouge and Lolla all are in really great shape, with some touches of wind-blown snowdrifts in places. Poppy Fields was a nice surprise. Very tight glade, with lots of dry powder tucked away. Tin Woodsman was also great shape w/sweet wind-blown spots too. Flowstate boadercross course is fully open now. Last week they had to rope off some larger humps underneath the Barker quad that got a bit to close to the lift. They were gone today! Not exactly the fastest course this year, but it sure is fun to ski regardless. A little dump of snow today, and an even larger dump tonight. Looks great for the next couple days. All lifts were pretty much walk-on. Temps started out at 26, and got up to 34 mid-day. | |
