Comments | After a disappointing visit to West Mountain (most of the mountain closed due to racing and "staffing"), we bopped over to Bousquet and used the Indy discount on a 4 hour ticket. Trails had been groomed prior to opening, so it was a soft spring surface. Very few people on the slopes, so there was plenty of corduroy, even at 3 PM. Blue Chair was down with mechanical issues, but the summit chair was open. Two routes off the top (Jewett, Easy Rider). Below there, it was Grand Slalom, Main Street, Parker to Russell, and Drifter. All skied well and had no bare spots. Really wish they'd plant some trees up the middle of the ski area, as the wide open clearing makes the area feel small/barren as compared to what it was a few years ago. The snowmaking and lodge are an improvement. Friendly employees. | |
