Comments | The $35 tickets (LL Bean sponsorship) continue, and natural snow terrain was open, so we went to Mt. Abram again. The steeps (Fearless Leader and Boris) were tilled out well, leaving plenty of granular for turning. For natural trails, Roundabout and Maybelle's were groomed/in good shape (wouldn't know they don't make snow on it), but some others were tired (such as Bullwinkle, some bare spots and hard pack). Upper Easy Rider/Snake were listed as open, but were closed this morning. Maybe they would open on thin natural cover with afternoon temperatures? Did not venture over to the West Side, since lift lines are generally pretty long there. The summit chair was a few chair wait for the first hour or so, but was 15 minutes at 10:30. The T-Bar eventually fired up, taking some stress off the chair. About a 5 minute wait on the T-Bar once the novices figured out how to ride it or not to ride it. Nice partly sunny morning. Despite the lift lines, the trails were not at all crowded. | |
