Comments CommentsSkied from opening bell to close today at Killington/Pico. Over 30k vertical and 30 runs between the two. Probably my best ski day of the year so far.

Conditions were fast and firm at the start, not icy, but fast groomers. Things softened up a bit as the day went on, but overall conditions were decently consistent. Didn't come across any real ice except for a bit on Pipe Dream, but it's not like there were powder stashes either. Pretty standard conditions, it's really a shame that it rained on Thursday - there's a very tough crust layer, with much softer powder beneath it and a bit on top.

For a February weekend with perfect weather and decent snow, crowds weren't bad at all. I don't think I waited in liftlines for more than a minute or two, although I used the singles line a lot. Made it to every lift except for Needle's Eye express - I even went down to the Snowshed Double at one point because of Superstar going on hold briefly.

Next week looks like an total cluster, so I'm glad to get some decent skiing in while I still can. Not a ton to write about, but a good day overall.
