Comments | Spent some time at Loon today during my drive up from MA. Arrived at 11:30 and on the hill @12. No crowds in sight, but most trails were pretty icy and frozen throughout the day. Walking Boss, Boom Run and Cruiser had some nice untouched spots to rip on. Speakeasy from the Gondola down to Kanc8 had the best snow, and was probably the most consistent trail of this afternoon. I also took Angel Street for the first time ever at Loon. I don't ever remember it being groomed, nor was it skiable in the times I've visited. It was a pleasant surprise to see it open for today! Temps mainly stayed in the mid-30s, with mostly clouds all day. Some sunny skies appeared after 3. |
