Comments | Lost Valley was one of the few ski areas in the state that was open today, so I decided to spend the morning there. The temperature was around -10 at opening, but it warmed to around 0 by the time I stopped skiing at 1:00. Winds were minimal, thanks to Lost Valley's location. There weren't many skiers out, and there were usually less than 10 on the mountain at any given time. They were having trouble with the auxiliary motor on Chair 2, so only Chair 1 was open. All of the snowmaking trails, and a couple glades were open. Conditions were firm and fast, but very edgeable. Despite the cold temperatures, it was a great morning of skiing! |
