Comments | Joined the party at 12:00, and wasn’t busy at all after lunch. Kids must have only had two hour delays, I hadn’t checked; I just crossed my fingers coming up to the parking lot! Conditions were great for what they were with the wet snow fall. Most trails were smoothed out at this point, with a few inches of crusted over wet powder on most sides. The crusty snow could definitely catch your ski quickly! While putting mine on, ski patrol brought a skier down the main slope. I did still find some corduroy on the sides here and there, it was so soft and wonderful!
Only one new trail addition for today (Pines), they kept all natural trails and glades closed. Easy Winder had been listed as open for the day, along with Ragged Glades and a few glades. Those were all closed today instead, but Twister was open. It didn’t look like many people had skied the more natural terrain in places prior to this storm. Today would not have been the best day to jump in either.
Newfound took the cake today over Upper Crewcut (my favorite trail when it’s top to bottom!) because it was super buttery...like right before it melts on toast. Dreamy! |
