Comments | It was 22°F at the base and 11°F at the summit. Partly cloudy. They had a dusting and it was very windy with it blowing straight up the hill. 30-50mph on the summit. Still they were running 3 lifts and 13 trails were open. Basically it was either take Lynx or Catapult to Middle Wildcat to either Bobcat, Cheetah or Wildkitten. The sign at the lift said "No Easy Way Down". It was firm & fast, but unlike Saturday it wasn't all black diamond terrain, more like solid blue. The grooming team did an absolute amazing job recovering from a warm/wet Friday & a warm Saturday. They covered almost all of the ice & bare spots from Saturday and was able to get Lynx back to a nice machine groomed surface. Despite the artic blast the skiing was very enjoyable and the crowds were non-existent. |
