Comments | Finally started at 9:30. Quite the charade getting up the access road. One truck off the road to the right practically in the bog - driver was fine. Tractor trailer and box truck lost traction heading uphill on true access road and slid back downhill. Reverse...reverse...wait...go around.
Ahhh look at all that snow!!!! Good show for opening, rode first and last chair lift ride with one other person, every other time was single. Blueberry Patch, top of Exhibition, and Headwall had scratchy wind blown coverage but very edgeable. Everywhere else was fab new snow, piling up and calling for powder style skiing with the occasional switch up for what little hard pack was underneath. Upper Crewcut was open (surprise to me!), with wind blown hard pack in the center, but again very edgeable...also sweet piles of snow on the side. A nice challenge. Managed 10 runs making all types of different combinations, but eventually got bored.
Hopefully new snow will help establish a good base to build on, but by noontime puckies we’re still poking out in Lower Exhibition. |
