Comments CommentsIt was a great day, and there ae two more in-depth reports here on the actual trails so I'll just make mine brief. We got on the Snowdon lift at about 11 and that was just when the wind died down and the sun started to really warm things up. First time ever on a 6 pack or a bubble and I have to say its weird to load a chair sideways, not to mention that the chair feels a bit like a disney ride as it makes that first corner, but it is smooth! BEAUTIFUL SUNNY DAY! Bonus to have 3 lifts open! There were parts of a few trails that had complimentary base grinding dirt and gravel, but for the most part it was all skiable with more than enough snow. Hard on the legs of course. Did Snowdon, RamsHead and Snowdon again a bunch of runs each (mostly snowdon) and then headed to the glacier after a late lunch. All the clouds were gone by then, crystal blue skies and views for miles around! Skylark was probably the best run of the day. Big bumps on the 30'plus deep Superstar really kicked my ass! They blew so much snow that the skiers right of Superstar had a few nice glade runs between the trail edge and the brook. It was an awesome day and probably the end of the season for me.
Side note, did a little NELSAP-ing down the street at the old Roundtop/Bear Creek/Plymouth Notch Ski area...if anyone wants to chip in with me for the $7,500,000 asking price let me know!!
