Comments | Wow, the weather was perfect and the snow was great--the kind of day you want for Spring Skiing! We parked in third lot at Barker and maybe the 4th lot was half full and others had some very creative parking since there were no parking lot attendants around. We booted up at the car and headed to the Barker lift, no lines but plenty of people every chair had someone in it. Hit Monday Morning & Cascades and then headed over to White Heat, oh gosh so much good snow! From Spruce Peak, ducked rope on Sirius a little way for a higher perch so we could watch the helicopter carry away the lift towers they were removing! Risky Business skied so nice! Nice Corn snow all morning before it really started to soften up at Noon. We had a nice lunch at the car and headed back out for a few more hours. Sunglasses and shirts ruled the day, jackets too warm! from Jungle Road we hiked up Locke Mountain for the BIG VISTA--Mt. Washington and all the mountain and Shawnee Peak looked snowy too! I think we skied everything that was open and a little more (the t-bar line was mighty fine snow). They're closed this week now until next weekend. Get your ticket for the Free closing day. |
