Terrain Park Terrain Park(s)Golly The Stash probably has the best and most snow on the mountain next to Superstar! Big O whooper of jumps and things to wreck yourself on but I had good time skiing around them.
Run of the Day Run of the DaySuperStar, when I skied it I was the only one on it and the snow was just perfect not too soft!
Food and Beverage Food and BeverageSkipped the mountain, we stopped in Lebanon and went to the new Bright Side Brewing at the Airport, yes the airport on the left side of the terminal! Pub food was excellent and lots of local craft beers to choose at good prices. Their brewing isn't up and running yet but in a few months. Well worth skipping the West Lebanon Strip, head up Airport Road! Fun to watch planes land and takeoff.
Comments Comments Front row parking at Bear Mountain at 8:45 and probably could get it all day! First run groomers were a little firm but things softened up quickly. We skied the groomers on Bear Mountain and a trip down the Stash Park. We stuck to groomers. Down Cruise Control, very nice too. Ended up at Superstar lift and Bittersweet top to bottom nice, Upper Skylark great, lower Skylark was melted out-roped. The Snowdon Bubblechair was closed for repairs so they were running the old fixed grip Snowdon Triple and we rode it once all the way to the top, Mouse run lots of snow and then across to Highline, sun had warmed it nice and it wasn't skied up yet (it would be later). Up the gondola and then a few runs off the North Ridge Triple. Back down to Gondola and made our way back to Bear for a few last runs. We started right at 9 and we quit at 12:15. We never got west of Bunny Buster so can't tell you if any people were hiding on Snowdon & Ramshead or not. We ran into a good number of small groups of friends but no crowds, often we had trails to ourselves. K1 Lodge is almost completely gone now, two excavators were at it today ripping and crunching. Popped into the summit Peak Lodge around 11 to use the bathroom and the place was empty! Glad the weather turned out to be really nice today making it a great day to spring ski. Thanks to Kris and Jay for coming out with me today.
