Food and Beverage Food and BeverageWe ate lunch at the Barker Lodge, snagged a picnic table on the deck too--Beer shockingly expensive, over 23 bucks not including tip for two drafts?! Chicken tenders & Chili bought in the cafeteria were good and average high ski area pricing. In Barker Lodge I also paid $4 for a no name Chap Ice with too low a spf rating 4, :( pathetic. No cash accepted anywhere at Sunday River bring your credit card.
Comments Comments What a great day to ski. Sunshine, started skiing at 9:45. Conditions went from groomed firm, corn, softer spring snow with spots of frozen granular. Started at Barker Lodge, plenty of good parking! Started with Ecstasy to Sunday Punch and a few more. Then made our way to Spruce Peak and did a couple laps. Snow Conditions everywhere were excellent with poles marking exposed rocks. We then moved on to North Peak for a few and then we went back to Spruce (best lift shack music on the mountain). Back to Barker and happy to have all of Monday morning open to the public now the race training was done. Ended up At White Cap for a couple of fun White Heat runs and then we realized it was 1 pm and we were really hungry so back to Barker we went. After lunch we skied more Barker anbd delighted that Southpaw and skier cross course ropes had been dropped, whoop whoop. We ended up at White Heat again via Tempest. Good fun we did 20 runs and quit at 3 pm. Lots of snow should last!! Jordon Bowl, Oz, Aurora are closed and we are told construction of the new lift is underway (we didn't drive over to look). I decided I really like Sunday River when there are few people on the slopes, it was a fantastic day.
