Comments | Closing day. Still good coverage on trails, they could be open through the week if it was feasible. Thursday night rain event fried out any spots that looked thin from Monday’s visit, but spots that had been staked by bamboo had snow pushed through them so that was cool. Spear Peak was groomed last I think, it was much softer granular. I think they my have tilled Cardigan, that had some fun little piles forming. Upper Crewcut was rough, a couple spots on the first half. Newfound Ridge and Lower Ridge were in good shape too, similar to Spear. Birches and Exhibition got nice with each run made down it, since people were cutting it up. A few race kids were helping that cause where conditions were loud and firm. There were two members from the park team salting the jumps on Wild Side, so not sure what that was about. Upper lots had filled up nicely when we left, a few people barbecuing and tailgating. |
