Comments | Local day! $35 to ski what’s left open didn’t hurt the wallet!
Darby’s Drop and Coos Caper were my two top faves. Granny’s Grit had no ropes off of Range View, it was skiable for sure, but had some good bare spots. Only one section had a ribbon holding it together, but even then was still fun! Bode’s was roped off at the top of the Rosebrook Quad, but we weren’t sure why since it looked good from the lift and people were clearly ducking the ropes. Upper Perimeter was a lot of fun, Lower was closed. We tried to pull the same trick as Granny’s from Sawyer’s Swoop but it was too high above the ropes. Water Tank was a smooth cruise. We rode Zephyr, Bethlehem, Rosebrook and gondola accessing plenty to get our money’s worth before getting bored.
Got to see the new lodge in the light of day after having the opportunity to see it in all its swankiness for a friends wedding Friday. Still a pretty cool place for us common folk looking for a hot chocolate! |
