Food and Beverage Food and BeverageNo masks required and employees aren't masking either. As a result, it's a pleasant experience. Good chicken tenders and fries. Lots of folks eating/drinking outside.
Comments CommentsForecast looked like mostly cloudy or partly sunny, but by around 10 AM, the skies cleared and became WARM. Temperatures probably touched 60 in the afternoon. Snow did not set up overnight, so things were soft and sticky. Mashed potatoes on St. Patrick's Day. Fortunately there is more snowpack now than late February.

Did not venture to the lower novice area, but everything looked open.

Everything was open off the high speed quad. Anything without a pitch was almost a standstill by late morning. Snowmaking trails had good coverage. Hudson Highway had a few slushy areas and a thin spot or two, but was decent. Lower natural trails generally had decent cover, but caution was still needed for the occasional stump or rock. Lower Professor had a grooming pass. Parmachenee Belle had exposed stumps/rocks in places from stumps, but otherwise good. Upper Jane Craig was rough, as the headwall was mostly tree stumps. Professor's ledge headwall had filled in enough that it didn't require a leap. Peachy's Peril skied well.

The Kennebago complex was the place to be, even though the top few hundred feet of vertical is fairly bare where there wasn't snow made (wish they'd make snow on the other headwalls again, like they did years ago). America and Tri-color were fine.

Tightline was fantastic this morning and still good at the end of the day. Firefly could be used to either access Family Secret (thin/narrow up top, but good coverage on the lower half) and cut over to Tightline. Nothing else open off this crossover.

NW Pass was not really open (entrance off Mickey Finn was closed, as were the junctions with Tightline). One could get to Governor via the Intimidator Glades a little above NW Pass (the top entrance was closed/rocky). Ended up on Supervisor at one point (roped everywhere else) and it was virtually unskiable due to bareness until the Dark Wizard Glade exit. Frostbite and Warden's Worry were fully closed. Black Beauty was apparently open, but I don't recall if it was actually open from Dazzler, or if it was a runout from Casablanca. Dazzler had significant snowpack from drifting, but was a little tricky due to being up/down and narrow/flat. Muleskinner was very good with only a few minimally bony spots. Generally nice snow and soft bumps. Nice trail. Nymph was groomed back to the lift (but still very sticky). Lower Tight Line was closed.

Decent sized crowd for a midweek day, but lift waits were generally only a few chairs. Cupsuptic T-Bar was running, which made those trails much more skiable (avoiding the runout back to the quad).
