Comments CommentsPretty much everything was open except Upper Tattle Tale and Upper Showoff.

Night skiing trails plus Hard Luck, Lower Villager, Timberline Lane/Run, Sure Shot, and Showtime had manmade snow and were groomed. Some natural greens and blues were also groomed, but caution was needed to avoid random rocks/ledge/blue ice.

Low angle ungroomed stuff was good, but anything with steeps and/or southern exposure had carnage (such as blue ice bulges and rock). Worst of it was probably Upper Crossover, Upper Cobrass, Upper Schuss, Upper Cougar, and Upper Spellbinder. Can't imagine these will fare well with a rain or thaw event. Did not venture onto Preacher or Vermont 200. Other steeps (such as Bolton Outlaw, and Upper Fanny Hill) had some nice powder bumps.

Busy day with the main base area parking lots filling up not too long after opening. Vista Quad was consistently out beyond the corral, but the singles line moved quickly. Timberline Quad backed up beyond the base area and back to the lift line at one point late morning, but was back under control by lunchtime. Wilderness backed up after lunchtime, but otherwise was only a few minutes. Trails were never particularly crowded.

Blue skies this morning with building clouds. Temperatures hit the 30s, but did not warm enough to make the snow wet or sticky.
