Comments Comments Last minute decision to go to Killington to burn an Ikon day. Ski Host was my college pal Martha as we walked up to the K1 lodge. We booted up in the car but needed to use the bathroom. We were in the gondola line at 9 am and skied the North Ridge & Canyon Quads. Snow was packed powder Wow! AFter maybe 6 runs we skied down to the SuperStar Quad and as we neared the K1 Lodge we could see what seemed like the entire lift line of SuperStar skating towards us and the was lift stopped. We turned around and went to the Snowdon Quad and back down to that quad and the liftline was madness so we skated down to Ramshead which was a big mistake but the singles line didn't take too long. Snow here was difficult sticky and soft, didn't find snow like this anywhere else. Weird it is the big terrain park and the learning center trails and the place was mobbed like that TV commercial where the trails is super crowded and insane. Superstar lift was still closed. We returned to the Snowdon and the Gondola worked our way over to Skype Peak quad. Skyeburst was super nice snow and roped for experts ha ha so few people were skiing it, perfect. We made our way back over to Superstar and the lift was now running again and I think we did 3 rides there no lift line. People really go in at Noon, it was like poof where did everyone go, even gondola line disappeared. We left about 12:45. Solid dayof skiing. Snow conditions were better than we expected, actually they were great! Good light but not sunny and about 39 degrees.
