Ticket Type | Discount from Ski Area |

Lift Lines | 6 to 10 minutes |

Trail Conditions | 60% open; Packed Powder, Variable Conditions |

Glades | Most served by Bonaventure and the Flyer were open. Bonaventure Glade and Showoff Glade had a few bare spots and rocks, but upper-mountain glades such as Beaver Pond Glade were very nice with drifts of fresh snow. |
|
Moguls | Skied some on Upper Milk Run. The tops of the bumps were soft but I could feel the hardpack underneath. |
|
Terrain Park(s) | Didn’t ski any. The Rusch (formerly Lower Can Am) was open with features, I don’t believe any other parks were. |

Run of the Day | Beaver Pond Glade |

Food and Beverage | Did not partake |

Comments | Nice day at Jay today. There was about 3 to 5 inches of powder at opening, and it kept snowing until late morning. The wind was particularly strong at the top of Bonaventure; the first stretch of Northway was a skating rink but it improved lower down. The Jet Triple was closed all day, apparently due to a motor failure. The Tram and Flyer started out on wind hold, leading to long lines of up to 15 minutes at the Bonaventure Quad. At about 11:20 while riding Bonaventure I noticed Flyer had opened. I then went across a very windblown Wedelmaster to Beaver Pond Glade; easily the best run of the day with swaths of untracked snow. The runout on Kokomo was nice as well. Unfortunately the Flyer closed again mid-afternoon. Despite the limited terrain, long lines, and variable snow conditions, it was a great day overall and it was great to be back in the glades. |
