Comments CommentsDid the $10 off full-day lift ticket deal (I showed them a lift ticket from another mountain), making it $45. Really good value.

Fantastic day of skiing with spring-like weather and everything open with good natural coverage. Pretty much everything that is green or blue was groomed, packed powder/wet packed powder as it warmed. (did not go to granular yesterday). Fearless Leader and Boris Badenov were the only diamonds that were groomed (both were wall to wall and really good).

Rocky's Run was nice soft moguls, as was Snidley Whiplash. Tucker's Tumble was difficult due to thick, wet powder (narrow and not many tracks). My first time on the this trail, and I discovered the origin of the name - a Tucker snow cat rolled over years ago, the remains of which are on this trail.

Upper and Lower Fractured Fairytales had good coverage and bumps. My first time on Wassomattu with enough snow to cover the brush underneath; nice soft bumps.

Maybelle's Tail was a treat, as it was still fresh corduroy around lunchtime. A few of this random blue trails hadn't see activity, as most skiers were sticking to the main trails.

Only took one run on the West Side (Hay Road; fun, narrow trail), as that chair has the longest lines on the mountain. Hit it early before the lessons started, so the wait was only a few chairs.

The line for the main Way Back Machine chairlift was out beyond the corrals by mid morning (probably 5-10 minutes), but they fired up the Maine T, which only had a minute or two wait. The Maine T is shorter, but accesses most of the vertical, and runs faster than the chairlift. The chairlift lines died down by lunch time.

The Mini T was also running for the first time in a long time. Accesses a few long angle trails, but you can get to them via Roundabout.

Temperatures dropped into the 30s overnight, but quickly jumped into the 40s today, maybe touching 50. Cloudy to start, but the sun came out later in the morning, making it feel like a nice March day. Natural snow is consolidating from the warmth, but no barespots or slush pits forming.

Friendly employees and locals always willing to chat on the chairlift and T-Bar. Despite the moderate lines and all lifts going, the trails were never crowded.
