Glades | Tree skied one run, the wind was literally bringing the snow to the woods. Watched them get tracked out by lots of people. |

Food and Beverage | Chili was really good, nice and hot. French fries were also good (in the chili!) Very fair, and filling. |

Comments | So much fun, natural powder everywhere. It was packed into the 15 or so runs, it was waiting to be skied on where it was left ungroomed...even some earned turns over on the side country if you’re game to hike up about 250ft!
At 3:00 Androscoggin was still very skiable, despite the wind. Open racing took place till just after lunch on Kennebec. Lower Rapid was a gem to find around 2:00 still covered with the best snow, and under used! Side country trails were fun: Babaduce had been tracked out much more, Saco still had uncut powder. Tree skied Rapid Glades, the snow was great and good to navigate. Pisquataquis Penobscot Kennebago was a super fun run morning, mid day and afternoon. Allagash was left ungroomed from yesterday, and still skied well.
This area definitely keeps the family vibe going. Kids can go off and ski with friends and come back to their parents when they are tired and hungry without worry. With so many bundle ski passes signing areas like this on it’s nice to still see an independent area that focuses on the people not the numbers. I hope they keep it that way! |
