Comments | Packed up the car and headed up to Wachusett on this beautiful April afte- it’s mid December? My bad. Arrived at WaWa right at 4 for our evening session, grabbed our lift cards, and walked onto the lifts. I mean walked, because until you got onto the line, there was no snow in the base area except for some slushy mud between Monadnock and Polar. Lifts were ski-on all night, with only every few chairs being taken. All three quads plus one of the carpets were running, serving 11 trails. Sundowner and Indian Summer off of Monadnock. Conifer, 10th Mtn, and Salamander off of Polar. Ralphs, Challenger, and Look Mom off Minuteman. Every trail had at least icy or bare spot, but nothing too bad and it was to be expected given the warm weather. Even though conditions were less than optimal, it was a nice way to spend an evening and I look forward to visiting WaWa again (probably another season) when things are fully open. | |
