Comments | The snow was pretty firm, as you'd expect for this time of year, but since it was the holiday weekend with no greens open the blue route down from the summit (Drifter) was quite the mess. The steeper terrain, such as Polar Bear, was a bit better crowd wise but a bit too firm for me after the first few runs. Snow was blowing hard on Mike's Way which should help a lot as well as on Black Bear (one of my favorites at Stratton) and some trails on the lower half of the mountain. I think in the future they should perhaps focus on opening Mike's Way before Drifter or Spruce for Thanksgiving. |
